Come From: The Shilu Iron Deposit in Changjiang County, Hainan Province

Description: The Shilu deposit is located in the Shilu Group of Qingbaikou System, and is China’s biggest high-grade iron deposit. The ores are of schist-like, stratiform-banded structures, and microcrystalline and meta-siltstone and meta-sandstone textures. The main metallic minerals include hematite, oolitic martite, and minor magnetite. The main gangue minerals include quartz, sericite, tremolite, and calcite. Grade: Fe, 53.6%.
